TL;DR: In this article, a version of the Brown-Rho bag model was used to describe the (3,3) resonance region of the nucleus scattering in the 3,3 resonance region.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this paper, a review of recent developments in the microscopic theory of pion-nucleus elastic scattering is presented, with particular emphasis on the connection which has developed between the sophisticated studies of the three-body πNN system, and the less rigorous (but equally sophisticated) treatments of the many-body problem.

TL;DR: In this paper, the isospin-one dibaryon resonances 1D2, 3F3 and 1G4 were mixed into Faddeev partial waves.
Abstract: Angular distributions of cross sections and vector and tensor polarisations for pi d to pi d are calculated at Tlabpi =142, 180 and 256 MeV. The isospin-one dibaryon resonances 1D2, 3F3 and 1G4 are mixed into Faddeev partial waves. Using experimental differential cross sections as constraints, dibaryon signals in the polarisation observables are calculated for a range of possible resonance parameters.

TL;DR: In this paper, a low energy π + elastic scattering was employed to determine the proton matter distribution of a nucleus relative to an adjacent nucleus differing by one proton, and the difference in the rms charge radii of 12 C and 11 B was determined to be 0.072 ± 0.021 fm with π+ beam energies of 38.6 and 47.7 MeV.
