Selective formation of positional isomers of substituted µ3-benzynes in triosmium clusters by degrading aryldimethylarsines

TL;DR: In this paper, a mechanism involving hydrogen-atom transfer between metal and µ3-benzyne with phenyl intermediates is proposed to account for these migration reactions, which results in the unexpected positional isomer of the methylbenzynes cluster [Os3H(CO)9(AsMe2)(µ3-C6H3Me-4] in refluxing octane.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and reactions of the di-µ-hydrido compound [Mn2H2(CO)4(Ph2PCH2PPh2)2]

TL;DR: Decarbonylation of [Mn2HBr(CO)5(dppm)2] using Me3No and treatment of the resultant tetracarbonyl derivative in tetrahydrofuran with LiAlH4 gives deep purple crystals of the formally unsaturated compound [Mm2H2(CO),4(Dppm),2] which inserts MeCHO or MeNC to give µ-EtO or µ-MeNCH complexes and reacts with certain orher ligands such as CO or P(OMe)3 with displacement
Journal ArticleDOI

Low temperature allene coupling and isomerization at triosmium clusters

TL;DR: In this article, an efficient coupling and isomerization of allene (CH 2 CCH 2 ) has been found on its interaction at low temperatures with [H 2 Os 3 (CO) 10 ] to give the di-allyl species [Os 3 (μ 3 -η 1 :η 2 : η 3 -C 6 H 8 )(CO)
Journal ArticleDOI

NMR coalescence effects resulting from stereochemical non-rigidity and halide exchange in octahedral rhodium(III) and iridium(III) tertiary phosphine complexes

TL;DR: The PMe 2 Ph ligands in the aquo-cations mer - [MCl 2 (H 2 O)(PMe 2 Ph) 3 ][ClO 4 ] rapidly exchange on the NMR time-scale giving coalescence in the 1 H and 31 P NMR spectra as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Studies on nucleophilic additions at bridging vinyl ligands in triosmium clusters

TL;DR: The bridging vinyl clusters [HOs 3 (CHCHR)(CO) 10 ] (R = H, Ph, or n-Bu) react with PMe 2 Ph to give the zwitterionic adducts as mentioned in this paper which contain μ 2 -alkylidene ligands.
