TL;DR: In a randomized, controlled, split-mouth design study, a bilateral sinus floor augmentation procedure was performed in 12 edentulous patients and no clinically relevant differences were observed regarding soft tissue parameters or peri-implant bone loss after 1 year in function.

TL;DR: It can be concluded that if P. gingivalis plays a role in RA, it is unlikely to originate from a variation in PPAD gene expression, and it is indicated that PPAD is omnipresent in P. rheumatoid arthritis, but absent in related species.
