Abdullaev,Julian Hofer,Gelsomina Pappalardo +37 more
TL;DR: In this article, the CATS aerosol product is validated against the aerosol profiles provided by the European Aerosol Research Lidar Network (EARLINET), based on collocated CATS-EARLINet measurements and the comparison of the particle backscatter coefficient at 1064nm.
Journal ArticleDOI
Aerosol profiling during the large scale field campaign CINDI-2
Arnoud Apituley,Michel Van Roozendael,Andreas Richter,Thomas Wagner,U. Friess,François Hendrick,Karin Kreher,Jan-Lukas Tirpitz +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a validation of space-baring observations of NO2 and other trace gases from hyperspectral imagers from ground-based instruments based on the MAXDOAS technique is presented.
The CLARA project: intensive experimental study of clouds and radiation in the Netherlands
Herman Russchenberg,A. van Lammeren,A.J. Feijt,Arnoud Apituley,Andrey Khlystov,M.H.A.J. Herben +5 more
TL;DR: In 1996, intensive measurements campaigns were organized in The Netherlands with a multitude of instruments, aimed at a qualitative and quantitative description of clouds and their impact on atmospheric radiation as mentioned in this paper, which was part of the Clouds and Radiation (CLARA) project.
Journal ArticleDOI
Advances in Lidar Observations for Airborne Hazards for Aviation in the Framework of the EUNADICS-AV Project
Arnoud Apituley,Lucia Mona,Nikolas Papagiannopoulos,Rolf Rüfenacht,Saskia Wagenaar,Piet Stammes,Jos de Laat,Wim Som de Cerff,Marijn de Haij,Francesco Marchese,Alfredo Falconieri,Alexander Haefele,Maxime Hervo +12 more
TL;DR: The project EUNADICS-AV (European Natural Disaster Coordination and Information System for Aviation) as discussed by the authors aims to close this gap by making existing data products for airborne hazards more accessible, visible and used, and fostering tailored product development.
Posted ContentDOI
Deep-Pathfinder: A boundary layer height detection algorithm based on image segmentation
TL;DR: In this paper , a real-time MLH detection approach based on deep learning techniques for image segmentation is proposed to represent the 24-hour mixing layer height (MLH) profile as a mask and directly predict it from an image with lidar observations.
