Proceedings ArticleDOI

Construction of Satellite Derived PM2.5 Maps using the Relationship between AOD and PM2.5 at the Cabauw Experimental Site for Atmospheric Research (CESAR) - The Netherlands

TL;DR: The relationship determined between MODIS AOD and ground level PM2.5 at Cabauw is very similar to that based on the much larger dataset from the sun photometer data, after correcting for a systematic overestimation of the MODIS data of 0.05.
Journal ArticleDOI

Combined radar and lidar cloud remote sensing: Comparison with IR radiometer and in-situ measurements

TL;DR: In this article, a new combined radar and lidar inversion procedure has been developed for cloud particle effective radius and water content retrievals, which uses the radar reflectivity and an effective particle size to parameterize the extinction at the lidar wavelength while treating the derived sizes and multiple scattering effects in a consistent fashion.
