Automatic contrast enhancement of low-light images based on local statistics of wavelet coefficients
TL;DR: The proposed enhancement method has been shown to perform very well with insufficiently illuminated and noisy images, outperforming other conventional methods, in terms of contrast enhancement and noise reduction in the output image.
A Similarity Metric for Assessment of Image Fusion Algorithms
TL;DR: Experimental results confirm that the values of the proposed metrics correlate well with the subjective quality of the fused images, giving a significant improvement over standard measures based on mean squared error and mutual information.
Journal ArticleDOI
Structural similarity-based object tracking in multimodality surveillance videos
TL;DR: This paper addresses the problem of object tracking in video sequences for surveillance applications by using a recently proposed structural similarity-based image distance measure, and shows that the performance of a particle filter tracker is improved significantly when the structural similarity -based distance is applied instead of the conventional Bhattacharyya histogram-based distance.
Journal Article
A Novel Metric for Performance Evaluation of Image Fusion Algorithms
TL;DR: Experimental results confirm that the values of the proposed metrics correlate well with the subjective quality of the fused images, giving a significant improvement over standard measures based on mean squared error and mutual information.
Journal ArticleDOI
Applied Multi-Dimensional Fusion

TL;DR: A wide work base in multi-dimensional fusion that is brought together through the use of common synthetic data, posing real-life problems faced in the theatre of war is presented.
