TL;DR: Data support the belief that professionally administered plaque control significantly improves gingival inflammation and lowers plaque scores, with some evidence that reinforcement of oral hygiene provides further benefit.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Galium Arsenide Diode Laser on Human Periodontal Disease: A Microbiological and Clinical Study ,,
Selçuk Yilmaz,Bahar Kuru,Bahar Kuru,Leyla Kuru,Ülkü Noyan,Ülkü Noyan,Dilek Argun,Tanju Kadir +7 more
TL;DR: Short‐term results on selected microbiological and clinical parameters obtained by treatment with soft laser in conjunction with methylene blue and/or mechanical subgingival debridement in human periodontal disease are described.
Journal ArticleDOI
A clinical and microbiological evaluation of systemic and local metronidazole delivery in adult periodontitis patients
TL;DR: Although both of the combined treatment groups responded to therapy with better resolution of infection that the pure mechanical and pure metronidazole treatments, local metronidsazole in combination with scaling and root planing seems to be more effective in terms of producing both clinical and microbial improvements.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical and microbiological studies of periodontal disease in Sjögren's syndrome patients
TL;DR: The notion that the periodontal status of patients with SS do not differ from systemically healthy age- and gender-matched controls is supported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical evaluation of coronally advanced flap with or without acellular dermal matrix graft on complete defect coverage for the treatment of multiple gingival recessions with thin tissue biotype
TL;DR: Coronally advanced flap in association with ADM can be proposed as a valid approach for the treatment of multiple recessions with thin tissue biotype.
