IASB-BIRA contribution to VESPA for planetary aeronomy studies

TL;DR: IASB-BIRA is contributing to VESPA activities by developing all necessary facilities to make SOIR profiles and the radiative transfer code ASIMUT accessible through this new infrastructure as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Compressive Sampling for Efficient Astrophysical Signals Digitizing: From Compressibility Study to Data Recovery

TL;DR: Through extensive numerical simulations, and by using Orthogonal Matching Pursuit (OMP) as the reconstruction algorithm, it is shown that the Jovian signal could be sensed by taking only 20% of samples at random, while still recovering the relevant information.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reflection and Refraction of the L‐O Mode 5 kHz Saturn Narrowband Emission by the Magnetosheath

TL;DR: The reflection-by-sheath mechanism of 5 kHz narrowband emissions (NB) at Saturn is confirmed by Cassini observations during several crossings of the magnetopause, which show that NB can be prevented from escaping Saturn's magnetosphere as mentioned in this paper .
