Genetic variations in ATP2B1, CSK, ARSG and CSMD1 loci are related to blood pressure and/or hypertension in two Korean cohorts

TL;DR: Despite the difficulty of obtaining replication results for a complex trait genetic association between blood pressure and hypertension, the GWA study was able to identify consistent genetic factors in both the Korean cohorts in ATP2B1, CSK, ARSG and CSMD1 genes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Recapitulation of two genomewide association studies on blood pressure and essential hypertension in the Korean population.

TL;DR: Four loci—ATP2B1 (ATPase, Ca++ transporting, plasma membrane 1), CSK (c-src tyrosine kinase), CYP17A1 (cytochrome P450 17A1) and PLEKHA7 (pleckstrin homology domain-containing family A member 7)—were associated with blood pressure and hypertension in the Korean population.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification of five novel genetic loci related to facial morphology by genome-wide association studies.

TL;DR: Five novel face morphology loci that were associated with facial frontal contour, nose shape, and eye shape were identified and four SNPs within these five face morphology-related loci showed discrepancies in allele frequencies among ethnic groups.
