TL;DR: This work demonstrates photodamage in this region for a number of different endpoints including cell viability, DNA damage, delayed cyclobutane pyrimidine dimers, differential gene expression and induction of oxidizing species in vitro in HaCaT keratinocytes and in vivo in human volunteers.
