TL;DR: In this paper, the authors acknowledge the support from the ERC Consolidator Grant (CRA 1.05.01.94) and Partial Support Agreement (PSA) for the STARKEY project.
Journal ArticleDOI
Low-temperature gas opacity. ÆSOPUS: a versatile and quick computational tool
TL;DR: AESOPUS as mentioned in this paper is a tool for computing the equation of state and the Rosseland mean (RM) opacities of matter in the ideal gas phase, which is a function of one pair of state variables, (i.e. temperature T in the range 3.2 ≤ log(T ) ≤ 4.5, and parameter R = ρ/(T/10 6 K) 3 in the ranges −8 ≤ log R ≤ 1), and arbitrary chemical mixture.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthetic photometry for carbon rich giants I. Hydrostatic dust-free models ⋆
Bernhard Aringer,Bernhard Aringer,Bernhard Aringer,Léo Girardi,Walter Nowotny,Paola Marigo,M. T. Lederer +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a grid of 746 spherically symmetric COMARCSatmospheres covering effective temperatures between 2400 and 4000 K, surface gravities from log(g [cm/s 2 ]) = 0.0 to−1.0, metallicities ranging from the solar value down to one tenth of it and C/O ratios in the interval between 1.05 and 5.0.

Paola Marigo,Léo Girardi,Alessandro Bressan,Philip Rosenfield,Bernhard Aringer,Yang Chen,Marco Dussin,Ambra Nanni,Giada Pastorelli,Thaíse S. Rodrigues,Thaíse S. Rodrigues,Michele Trabucchi,Sara Bladh,Julianne J. Dalcanton,Martin Groenewegen,Josefina Montalbán,Peter R. Wood +16 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a new generation of PARSEC-colibri stellar isochrones is presented, which include a detailed treatment of the thermally-pulsing asymptotic giant branch (TP-AGB) phase, and covering a wide range of initial metallicities (0.0001

Dalcanton,Kjell Eriksson,Martin Groenewegen,Susanne Höfner,Thomas Lebzelter,Ambra Nanni,Philip Rosenfield,Peter R. Wood,Maria-Rosa L. Cioni +21 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors extended the thermally pulsing asymptotic giant branch (TP-AGB) model to the more metal-rich Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC).
