Journal ArticleDOI
Fire Safety of Lead Halide Perovskite Photovoltaics
TL;DR: In this article, the results of fire simulations on Si/perovskite tandem mini-modules, fabricated according to industry standards, together with a rough numerical estimation of the heavy metal concentrations downwind of a typical structure fire are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lead-Halide Perovskites Meet Donor–Acceptor Charge-Transfer Complexes
Nadège Marchal,Wouter Van Gompel,María C. Gélvez-Rueda,Koen Vandewal,Kristof Van Hecke,Hans-Gerd Boyen,Bert Conings,Roald Herckens,Sudeep Maheshwari,Laurence Lutsen,Claudio Quarti,Ferdinand C. Grozema,Dirk Vanderzande,David Beljonne +13 more
TL;DR: Low-dimensional lead halide hybrid perovskites are nowadays in the spotlight because of their improved stability and extensive chemical flexibility compared to their 3D perovskiy counterparts.
Journal ArticleDOI
Segregation Versus Colocalization: Orthogonally Functionalized Binary Micropatterned Substrates Regulate the Molecular Distribution in Focal Adhesions
Judit Guasch,Judit Guasch,Bert Conings,Stefanie Neubauer,Stefanie Neubauer,Florian Rechenmacher,Karen Ende,Karen Ende,Claudio Gavino Rolli,Claudio Gavino Rolli,Christian Kappel,Viktoria Schaufler,Viktoria Schaufler,Alexandre Micoulet,Alexandre Micoulet,Horst Kessler,Hans-Gerd Boyen,Elisabetta Ada Cavalcanti-Adam,Elisabetta Ada Cavalcanti-Adam,Joachim P. Spatz,Joachim P. Spatz +20 more
TL;DR: Orthogonally functionalized binary micropatterned substrates are produced using a novel protocol that enables an unprecedented segregation of purified αvβ3 and α5β1 integrins in adjacent microislands and evidences the preference of U2OS cells to colocalize such receptors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ultrathin ammonium heptamolybdate films as efficient room-temperature hole transport layers for organic solar cells.
Weiming Qiu,Afshin Hadipour,Robert Muller,Bert Conings,Hans-Gerhard Boyen,Paul Heremans,Paul Heremans,Ludo Froyen,Ludo Froyen +8 more
TL;DR: AHM based HTLs outperform the commonly used poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):polystyrenesulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) HTL for devices employing deep HOMO level active materials and can achieve higher short circuit current (Jsc) than the ones with evaporated molybdenum oxide(eMoO3), and thus better power conversion efficiency (PCE).
Journal ArticleDOI
Relation between synthesis conditions, dopant position and charge carriers in aluminium-doped ZnO nanoparticles
Anke Kelchtermans,Ken Elen,Ken Elen,Kevin Schellens,Bert Conings,Hanne Damm,Hans-Gerhard Boyen,Jan D'Haen,Peter Adriaensens,An Hardy,An Hardy,Marlies K. Van Bael,Marlies K. Van Bael +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, two series of Al-doped zinc oxide nanoparticles were synthesized by solution-based methods under different conditions yielding phase-pure wurtzite ZnO:Al nanocrystals with different morphologies (quasispheres and rods).
