Highly Segregated Lamello‐Columnar Mesophase Organizations and Fast Charge Carrier Mobility in New Discotic Donor–Acceptor Triads

TL;DR: By means of this specific molecular designing idea, it is realized and demonstrated for the first time the so-called p-n heterojunction at the molecular level in which the electron-rich triphenylene columns act as the hole transient pathways, and the coronenediimide stacks form the Electron-transport channels.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tetraphenylethene–triphenylene oligomers with an aggregation-induced emission effect and discotic columnar mesophase

TL;DR: In this paper, three tetraphenylethene derivatives, 7, 8E and 8Z, were synthesized by a CuSO4/sodium ascorbate catalyzed alkyne-azide cycloaddition reaction, and the successful separation of the cis-and trans-isomers by column chromatography.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of N‐Arylamides by Copper‐Catalyzed Amination of Aryl Halides with Nitriles

TL;DR: A copper-catalyzed amination of aryl halides with nitriles has been developed in this paper, which can make the synthesis of N-arylamides more simple than that using amides through in-situ hydrolysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Highly Enantioselective Iridium-Catalyzed Coupling Reaction of Vinyl Azides and Racemic Allylic Carbonates.

TL;DR: The Iridium-catalyzed enantioselective coupling reaction of vinyl azides and allylic electrophiles is presented and provides access to β-chiral carbonyl derivatives and a mechanism was proposed to rationalize the chemoselectivity of this coupling reaction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Truxene discotic liquid crystals with two different ring substituents: synthesis, mesomorphism and high charged carrier mobility

TL;DR: In this paper, a truxene discogen was synthesized with improved yields, and the mesomorphism has been investigated by using polarised optical microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray diffraction.
