Journal ArticleDOI
Enterovirus-induced miR-141 contributes to shutoff of host protein translation by targeting the translation initiation factor eIF4E.
Bing Ching Ho,Sung-Liang Yu,Jeremy J.W. Chen,Jeremy J.W. Chen,Sui-Yuan Chang,Bo-Shiun Yan,Qi Sheng Hong,Sher Singh,Chuan-Liang Kao,Hsuan-Yu Chen,Hsuan-Yu Chen,Kang-Yi Su,Kang-Yi Su,Ker-Chau Li,Chiou Ling Cheng,Hao Wei Cheng,Jen Yi Lee,Chun Nan Lee,Pan-Chyr Yang,Pan-Chyr Yang +19 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that upregulation of miR-141 upon enterovirus infection can facilitate viral propagation by expediting the translational switch, and identify a transcription factor, EGR1, which is partly responsible for mi R-141 induction in response to enterov virus infection.
Journal ArticleDOI
R331W Missense Mutation of Oncogene YAP1 Is a Germline Risk Allele for Lung Adenocarcinoma With Medical Actionability
Hsuan-Yu Chen,Sung-Liang Yu,Bing Ching Ho,Kang-Yi Su,Yi Chiung Hsu,Chi Sheng Chang,Yu Cheng Li,Shi Yi Yang,Pin Yen Hsu,Hao Ho,Ya Hsuan Chang,Chih Yi Chen,Hwai I. Yang,Chung Ping Hsu,Tsung-Ying Yang,Kun-Chieh Chen,Kuo-Hsuan Hsu,Jeng-Sen Tseng,Jiun Yi Hsia,Cheng Yen Chuang,Shinsheng Yuan,Mei Hsuan Lee,Chia Hsin Liu,Guan I. Wu,Chao A. Hsiung,Yuh Min Chen,Chih-Liang Wang,Ming Shyan Huang,Chong-Jen Yu,Kuan-Yu Chen,Ying-Huang Tsai,Wu Chou Su,Huei-Wen Chen,Jeremy J.W. Chen,Chien-Jen Chen,Gee-Chen Chang,Pan-Chyr Yang,Ker-Chau Li,Ker-Chau Li +38 more
TL;DR: YAP1 mutation was shown to increase the colony formation ability and invasion potential of lung cancer cells and implicated YAP1 R331W as an allele predisposed for lung adenocarcinoma with high familial penetrance.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of microRNAs regulated by activin A in human embryonic stem cells
Zong Yun Tsai,Sher Singh,Sung-Liang Yu,Li-Pin Kao,Bo Zhi Chen,Bing Ching Ho,Pan-Chyr Yang,Steven S.-L. Li +7 more
TL;DR: The hES‐T3 cells with normal female karyotype cultured on either mouse embryonic fibroblasts in hES medium or feeder‐free Matrigel in MEF‐conditioned medium were found to express very similar profiles of mRNAs and microRNAs, indicating that the unlimited self‐renewal and pluripotency of hES cells can be maintained by continuing culture on these two conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
miR-146a and miR-370 coordinate enterovirus 71-induced cell apoptosis through targeting SOS1 and GADD45β.
TL;DR: It is shown that EV71‐induced cell apoptosis is partly governed by altered miRNAs, and the transfection of antagomiR‐146a and miR‐370 contributed to attenuating EV71 infection‐induced apoptosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
ChemiRs: a web application for microRNAs and chemicals
Emily Chia Yu Su,Yu Sing Chen,Yun Cheng Tien,Jeff Liu,Bing Ching Ho,Sung-Liang Yu,Sher Singh +6 more
TL;DR: An online system, ChemiRs, which contains miRNAs, diseases, Medical Subject Heading (MeSH) terms, chemicals, genes, pathways and PubMed IDs, and is freely available for public use at http://omics.ntnu.edu.tw/ChemiRs.
