Genome-wide association analysis identifies new lung cancer susceptibility loci in never-smoking women in Asia.

Qing Lan, +133 more
- 01 Dec 2012 -
TL;DR: It is observed that there is no evidence of association for lung cancer at 15q25 in never-smoking women in Asia, providing strong evidence that this locus is not associated with lung cancer independent of smoking.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pulmonary Sequelae in Convalescent Patients after Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome: Evaluation with Thin-Section CT

TL;DR: Thin-section CT scores correlated with clinical and laboratory parameters in patients after SARS, and it is concluded that ground-glass opacity and interstitial opacity resolve over time, air trapping persists.
Journal ArticleDOI

Specific EGFR Mutations Predict Treatment Outcome of Stage IIIB/IV Patients With Chemotherapy-Naive Non–Small-Cell Lung Cancer Receiving First-Line Gefitinib Monotherapy

TL;DR: In this prospective study, EGFR exon 19 deletion or L858R mutations in adenocarcinoma were the best predictors for longer TTF in stage IIIB/IV chemotherapy-naive NSCLC patients receiving first-line gefitinib monotherapy.
Journal ArticleDOI

The 5p15.33 Locus Is Associated with Risk of Lung Adenocarcinoma in Never-Smoking Females in Asia

Chao A. Hsiung, +81 more
- 05 Aug 2010 -
TL;DR: Results show that genetic variation in the CLPTM1L-TERT locus of chromosome 5p15.33 is directly associated with the risk of lung cancer, most notably adenocarcinoma.
