A Comparative Study of CdTe Films Prepared by Different Techniques

TL;DR: In this paper, three different methods, viz. vacuum co-evaporation, RF sputtering and electrodeposition, have been applied to deposit thin films of CdTe in nature, and the carrier concentration, mobility and resistivity of the films are in the range of 1013-1014 cm−3, 25-35 cm2/V·s and 103-104 cm, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characteristics of radio frequency sputtered CdxZnyTez thin film alloy and CdS/CdxZnyTez junction

TL;DR: In this paper, radio frequency sputtered multilayers comprising of CdTe and ZnTe were thermally annealed at 300°C to promote interdiffusion for the fabrication of different zinc proportions and the crystal structure, morphology and bandgap for each composition were evaluated using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and UV-visible spectrophotometry.
Journal ArticleDOI

Growth and characterization of Cd1−xZnxTe thin films prepared from elemental multilayer deposition

TL;DR: In this article, the multilayer structure was annealed at different temperatures using one to five repetitions of the Cd-Zn-Te sequence, and the results showed that annealing at 475°C yielded single-phase material compared to other anneal conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Air annealing induced growth of self-assembled ultra long ZnS microwire: Structural and photoluminescence studies

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors have grown amorphous ZnS films using rapid vacuum evaporation technique and followed by air annealing at an elevated temperature for longer duration.
