Journal ArticleDOI
A new dimeric stilbene with tyrosinase inhibitiory activity from Artocarpus gomezianus.
TL;DR: A new dimeric stilbene, namely, artogomezianol (1), and the known compound andalasin A (2) were isolated from the roots of Artocarpus gomezianus and showed moderate tyrosinase inhibitory activity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phenolics with antiviral activity from Millettia erythrocalyx and Artocarpus lakoocha.
Kittisak Likhitwitayawuid,Boonchoo Sritularak,Kanokwan Benchanak,Vimolmas Lipipun,Judy S. Mathew,Raymond F. Schinazi +5 more
TL;DR: From the leaves of Millettia erythrocalyx, a new flavone named 3′,5′-dimethoxy-[2′′,3′′ : 7,8]-furanoflavone and three known compounds were isolated and oxyresveratrol was evaluated for potential anti-HIV activity against a wild-type human immunodeficiency virus type 1 isolate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gigantol, a bibenzyl from Dendrobium draconis, inhibits the migratory behavior of non-small cell lung cancer cells.
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that 1 suppresses the migratory behavior of non-small cell lung cancer H460 cells and the inhibitory activity of 1 on lung cancer migration suggests that this compound may be suitable for further development for the treatment of cancer metastasis.
Journal ArticleDOI
α-Glucosidase and pancreatic lipase inhibitory activities and glucose uptake stimulatory effect of phenolic compounds from Dendrobium formosum
Prachyaporn Inthongkaew,Nutputsorn Chatsumpun,Chonlakan Supasuteekul,Tharita Kitisripanya,Waraporn Putalun,Kittisak Likhitwitayawuid,Boonchoo Sritularak +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a methanol extract from the whole plant of Dendrobium formosum Roxb. ex Lindl, Orchidaceae, showed inhibitory potential against α-glucosidase and pancreatic lipase enzymes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chemical transformations of oxyresveratrol (trans-2,4,3′,5′-tetrahydroxystilbene) into a potent tyrosinase inhibitor and a strong cytotoxic agent
TL;DR: The tetrahydroxybibenzyl 7, a hydrogenation product of 1, exhibited more potent tyrosinase inhibitory activity than the parent compound, without cytotoxicity as mentioned in this paper.
