Satire as the Comic Public Sphere: Postmodern "Truthiness" and Civic Engagement by James E. Caron (review)
TL;DR: The comic public sphere is a parodic counterpart to the classic public sphere as discussed by the authors , and satire can work as a reverse discourse, rescripting anti-public sphere discourse into comic public-sphere discourse.
