Journal ArticleDOI
Decline of semen quality among 10 932 males consulting for couple infertility over a 20-year period in Marseille, France
C. Geoffroy-Siraudin,Anderson Loundou,Fanny Romain,Vincent Achard,Blandine Courbiere,Marie-Hélène Perrard,Philippe Durand,Marie-Roberte Guichaoua +7 more
TL;DR: The results clearly indicate that the quality of semen decreased in this population over the study period and the same trends of sperm quality deterioration with time were observed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Validation of a Rat Seminiferous Tubule Culture Model as a Suitable System for Studying Toxicant Impact on Meiosis Effect of Hexavalent Chromium
C. Geoffroy-Siraudin,Marie-Hélène Perrard,Florence Chaspoul,André Lanteaume,Philippe Gallice,Philippe Durand,Marie-Roberte Guichaoua +6 more
TL;DR: This study shows that Cr(VI) is toxic for meiotic cells even at low concentrations, and its toxicity increases in a dose-dependent manner.
Journal ArticleDOI
Meiotic abnormalities in patients bearing complete AZFc deletion of Y chromosome.
C. Geoffroy-Siraudin,I. Aknin-Seiffer,Catherine Metzler-Guillemain,R. Ghalamoun-Slaimi,M.F. Bonzi,Rachel Levy,Marie-Roberte Guichaoua +6 more
TL;DR: The low level of limited asynapsis, the normal H2AX staining and the incomplete loss of germ cells at the pachytene checkpoint indicate that the AZFc region is not critical for meiotic recombination, and it is suggested that the pachedtene phenotype develops secondarily to a primary defect that influences meiosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ex-vivo assessment of chronic toxicity of low levels of cadmium on testicular meiotic cells.
C. Geoffroy-Siraudin,Marie-Hélène Perrard,Rahma Ghalamoun-Slaimi,Sazan Ali,Florence Chaspoul,André Lanteaume,Vincent Achard,Philippe Gallice,Philippe Durand,Marie-Roberte Guichaoua +9 more
TL;DR: Results show that Cd induces dose-and-time-dependent alterations of the meiotic process of spermatogenesis ex-vivo, and that the lowest metal concentration, which induces an adverse effect, may vary with the cell parameter studied.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analyse de la spermatogenèse ex vivo - Application à l’analyse de la toxicité testiculaire
Marie-Hélène Perrard,Christophe Grenet,Nadia Prisant,C. Geoffroy-Siraudin,Dominique Segretain,Marie-Roberte Guichaoua,Georges Pointis,Philippe Durand +7 more
