TL;DR: Independent of the severity of critical illness from COVID-19, 30-day survival was higher and ICU stay shorter in patients receiving tracheostomy, and early trachostomy appears to be safe in CO VID-19.

TL;DR: It is found that survival outcomes did not change following the implementation of a “restrictive” transfusion policy, and the adoption of a more restrictive approach to RBC transfusion during venovenous extracorporeal membrane oxygenation is more cost-effective and associated with similar survival outcomes, than when compared with a more liberal approach.
