Journal ArticleDOI
Performance and emissions of diesel-biodiesel-ethanol blends in a light duty compression ignition engine
TL;DR: In this paper, two oxygenated fuel blends consisting of diesel, biodiesel and EtOH in the ratio of 68:17:15 and 58:14:30 have been utilized and studied in a single cylinder light duty (LD) CI engine in terms of efficiency and emissions.
Journal ArticleDOI
New Findings on Combustion Behavior of Oxygenated Synthetic Diesel Fuels
TL;DR: In this article, three different techniques were adopted on a single cylinder direct injection diesel engine, equipped with optical accesses: two-colour pyrometry for the measurement of in-cylinder soot loading, high speed cinematography for the visualization and analysis of spray and combustion, fast sampling valve for the measurements of incylinder combustion products.
Journal ArticleDOI
Application of bioethanol/RME/diesel blend in a Euro5 automotive diesel engine: Potentiality of closed loop combustion control technology
TL;DR: In this article, the results of an experimental activity aimed to study the impact of a BE/biodiesel/mineral diesel blend on performance and emissions in a last generation automotive diesel engine are presented.
