Complexes derived from the reaction of manganese(III) Schiff base complexes and hexacyanoferrate(III): Syntheses, multidimensional network structures, and magnetic properties

TL;DR: In this paper, a two-dimensional network layer structure was analyzed and magnetic measurements showed its metamagnetic behavior, where the ferromagnetic interaction operates within each layer and the antiferromagnetic interactions between the layers.
Journal ArticleDOI

Enantioselective Reduction of Ketones by Polymethylhydrosiloxane in the Presence of Chiral Zinc Catalysts

TL;DR: In this article, an enantioselective reduction of ketones, particularly acetophenones, by polymethylhydrosiloxane (PMHS) to the corresponding secondary alcohols can be achieved with high yields and enantiomeric excesses up to 88% in the presence of chiral zinc catalysts.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, Crystal Structure, and Magnetic Properties of a Ferrimagnetic Layered Compound [NEt4][Mn(5-Cl-salen)]2[Fe(CN)6] (NEt4 = Tetraethylammonium, 5-Cl-salen = N,N‘-Ethylenebis((5-chlorosalicylidene)aminato))

TL;DR: In this paper, the discrete trinuclear complex (NEt4) was synthesized in the monoclinic space group P21/c with cell dimensions of a = 13.104, b = 12.861, c = 15.526, and β = 105.98.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dinitrogen Rearranging over a Metal−Oxo Surface and Cleaving to Nitride: From the End-On to the Side-On Bonding Mode, to the Stepwise Cleavage of the N⋮N Bonds Assisted by NbIII-calix[4]arene

TL;DR: In this paper, four-electron reduction of dinitrogen has been achieved in the reaction of N2 with [p-But-calix[4]-(O)4}2Nb2(μ-M)2] (M = Li, 3, M = Na, 4; M = K, 5), which contain a very reactive NbNb unit.
