Dinitrogen Rearranging over a Metal−Oxo Surface and Cleaving to Nitride: From the End-On to the Side-On Bonding Mode, to the Stepwise Cleavage of the N⋮N Bonds Assisted by NbIII-calix[4]arene
Alessandro Caselli,Euro Solari,Rosario Scopelliti,Carlo Floriani,Nazzareno Re,and Corrado Rizzoli,A. Chiesi-Villa +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, four-electron reduction of dinitrogen has been achieved in the reaction of N2 with [p-But-calix[4]-(O)4}2Nb2(μ-M)2] (M = Li, 3, M = Na, 4; M = K, 5), which contain a very reactive NbNb unit.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ligand Aspect Ratio as a Decisive Factor for the Self-Assembly of Coordination Cages
Suzanne M. Jansze,Giacomo Cecot,Matthew D. Wise,Konstantin O. Zhurov,Tanya K. Ronson,Ana M. Castilla,Alba Finelli,Philip Pattison,Euro Solari,Rosario Scopelliti,Genrikh E. Zelinskii,Anna V. Vologzhanina,Yan Z. Voloshin,Jonathan R. Nitschke,Kay Severin +14 more
TL;DR: It is shown that out of two metalloligands with only marginally different aspect ratios, one gave rise to a self-sorted collection of Pd(II)4L8 and Pd (II)6L12 cages, whereas the other did not.
Journal ArticleDOI
Magnetic Properties Diagnostic for the Existence of Iron(II)-Iron(II) Bonds in Dinuclear Complexes Which Derive from Stepwise Insertion Reactions on Unsupported Iron-Aryl Bonds
Journal ArticleDOI
Stepwise Reduction of Dinitrogen to Nitride Assisted by Niobium Bonded to Oxygen Donor Atoms: The Potential of Reduced Forms of Niobium Calix[4]arene
Antonio Zanotti‐Gerosa,Euro Solari,Luca Giannini,Carlo Floriani,‡ and Angiola Chiesi-Villa,Corrado Rizzoli +5 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Hydrazone Derivatives, an Efficient Class of Crystalline Materials for Nonlinear Optics
Christophe Serbutoviez,Christian Bosshard,G. Knöpfle,P. Wyss,Philippe Pretre,Peter Günter,Kurt Schenk,Euro Solari,Gervais Chapuis +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis and optical characterization of hydrazone derivatives developed for second-order nonlinear optics was reported. But the results of the analysis were limited to a series of 39 derivatives with the second harmonic generation powder test according to Kurtz and Ferry.
