Journal ArticleDOI
Africanized honey bees (Apis mellifera) have low infestation levels of the mite Varroa destructor in different ecological regions in Mexico.
Carlos Aurelio Medina-Flores,Ernesto Guzman-Novoa,Mollah Md. Hamiduzzaman,Carlos Fernando Aréchiga-Flores,M.A. López-Carlos +4 more
TL;DR: This is the first study that demonstrates the effects of Africanization and ecological environment on V. destructor infestation rates in honey bee colonies in North America and there were no differences in bee population or capped brood between genotypes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efecto del nivel de infestación de Varroa destructor sobre la producción de miel de colonias de Apis mellifera en el altiplano semiárido de México
Carlos Aurelio Medina-Flores,Ernesto Guzman-Novoa,Carlos Fernando Aréchiga-Flores,J. I. Aguilera-Soto,Francisco J. Gutiérrez-Piña +4 more
TL;DR: The aim of this study was to determine if the mite Varroa destructor affects honey yields of honeybee colonies in Mexico's semiarid high plateau.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efecto del estrés calórico sobre la producción embrionaria en vacas superovuladas y la tasa de gestación en receptoras
Renato Raúl Lozano-Domínguez,Marco Antonio Asprón-Pelayo,Carlos G. Vásquez Peláez,Everardo González-Padilla,Carlos Fernando Aréchiga-Flores +4 more
TL;DR: The interaction effect of heat stress from embryo production season and embryo transfer season on pregnancy rates of recipient lactating cows and embryo production and quality from superovulated cows was determined.
Journal ArticleDOI
Relationship of residual feed intake on specific hematological and biochemical parameters in rambouillet sheep.
R. M. Rincon-Delgado,Héctor Gutiérrez-Bañuelos,E. D. Perez-Vazquez,Alberto Muro-Reyes,L. H. Diaz-Garcia,Rómulo Bañuelos-Valenzuela,Francisco J. Gutiérrez-Piña,Carlos Aurelio Medina-Flores,Luis Manuel Escareño-Sánchez,J. I. Aguilera-Soto,M.A. López-Carlos,Carlos Fernando Aréchiga-Flores +11 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Superovulatory response and embryo development in ewes treated with two doses of bovine somatotropin.
José Maria Carrera-Chávez,J. Hernández-Cerón,M.A. López-Carlos,Renato Raúl Lozano-Domínguez,F. Molinar,F. Molinar,Francisco Guadalupe Echavarría-Cháirez,Rómulo Bañuelos-Valenzuela,Carlos Fernando Aréchiga-Flores +8 more
TL;DR: The administration of 50mg bST at the start of synchronization and at natural mating in superovulated ewes was concluded to enhance the proportion and development of transferable embryos, however, bST did not affect the pregnancy rate of transferred embryos.
