Journal ArticleDOI
Capture of CO2 from combustion gases in a fluidized bed of CaO
TL;DR: In this paper, experiments in a pilot-scale fluidized-bed reactor have been carried out to investigate the carbonation reaction of CaO, as a potential method for CO2 capture from combustion flue gases at high-temperatures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhancement of CaO for CO2 capture in an FBC environment
TL;DR: In this article, experiments have been carried out on three Canadian limestones to determine their ability to remove CO2 in multiple carbonation/calcination cycles, and the results suggest that 100% CO2 atmospheres may provide a possible reactivation method for some limestones and that the use of NaCl and Na2CO3 for this purpose requires further investigation in FBC environment.
Journal ArticleDOI
CO2 Capture and Development of an Advanced Pilot-Scale Cryogenic Separation and Compression Unit
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present and discuss the technical challenges, development stages and commissioning of the CANMET's pilot-scale CO2 capture and compression unit (CO2CCU).
Patent
Pre-treatment of lime-based sorbents using hydration
TL;DR: In this paper, a method and an apparatus for reactivating lime-based sorbents and increasing the carbon dioxide-capture capacity of the sorbent in the combustion of carbon-containing fuels is presented.
Patent
Hot sieving electrostatic precipitator
TL;DR: An electrostatic precipitator and a method of removal of particulates from gaseous flows was proposed in this paper, where a plurality of screens, secured in sets within a central chamber in a housing, comprised at least one set of electrically chargeable first screens and at least 1 set of electric grounded second screens.
