Laboratory and testbeam results on 3D detectors
Journal ArticleDOI
Mapping the depleted area of silicon diodes using a micro-focused X-ray beam
Luise Poley,Andrew Blue,Ingo Bloch,Craig Buttar,Vitaliy Fadeyev,J. Fernandez-Tejero,Celeste Fleta,Johannes Hacker,Carlos Lacasta Llacer,Mercedes Miñano,Martin Renzmann,Edoardo Rossi,Craig Sawyer,Dennis Sperlich,Martin Stegler,Miguel Ullan,Yoshinobu Unno +16 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the electric field inside biased silicon sensors with high bulk resistivity was mapped and its dependence on the applied bias voltage was studied with a monochromatic micro-focused X-ray beam at the Diamond Light Source.
Journal ArticleDOI
3D silicon strip detectors
U. Parzefall,Richard Bates,Maurizio Boscardin,Gian Franco Dalla Betta,Simon Eckert,Lars Eklund,Celeste Fleta,Karl Jakobs,S. Kühn,Manuel Lozano,Gregor Pahn,C. Parkes,Giulio Pellegrini,David Pennicard,Claudio Piemonte,Sabina Ronchin,Tomasz Szumlak,A. Zoboli,Nicola Zorzi +18 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors combine the radiation hard 3D-design originally conceived for pixel-style applications with the benefits of the established planar technology for strip detectors by using SSDs that have regularly spaced doped columns extending into the silicon bulk under the detector strips.
Peer ReviewDOI
Specifications and pre-production of n+-in-p large-format strip sensors fabricated in 6-inch silicon wafers, ATLAS18, for the Inner Tracker of the ATLAS Detector for High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider

Staats,Tynan Louis Stack,Bernd Stelzer,Miguel Ullan,Joseph Yarwick,Seth Conrad Zenz +55 more
TL;DR: The ATLAS experiment is constructing new all-silicon inner tracking system for HL-LHC as mentioned in this paper , which uses p-type silicon material, making the readout in n+-strips, so-called n+in-p sensors.
