Journal ArticleDOI
Poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) as a reusable solvent medium for organic synthesis. Application in the Heck reaction.
TL;DR: PEG has been used as a solvent medium for regioselective Heck reactions with easy recyclability of solvent and Pd catalyst for the first time.
Journal ArticleDOI
Three component coupling catalyzed by TaCl5–SiO2: synthesis of α-amino phosphonates
TL;DR: TaCl5−SiO2 has been used as an efficient Lewis acid catalyst for the three component coupling of carbonyl compounds, aromatic amines and diethyl phosphite to produce α-amino phosphonates as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Osmium tetroxide in poly(ethylene glycol)(PEG): a recyclable reaction medium for rapid asymmetric dihydroxylation under Sharpless conditions
TL;DR: PEG (400) has been used as a recyclable and rapid reaction medium for the asymmetric dihydroxylation of olefins; Sharpless ligand is efficiently recovered and recycled with good enantioselectivity.
Journal ArticleDOI
l-Proline catalysed asymmetric aldol reactions in PEG-400 as recyclable medium and transfer aldol reactions
Srivari Chandrasekhar,N. Ramakrishna Reddy,S. Shameem Sultana,Ch. Narsihmulu,K. Venkatram Reddy +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the L-Proline-catalysed direct asymmetric aldol reaction of acetone with various aldehydes in PEG-400 was described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Asymmetric aldol reactions in poly(ethylene glycol) catalyzed by L-proline
TL;DR: In this article, a l-proline catalyzed direct aldol reaction between various aldehydes and acetone was achieved using PEG as the solvent with comparable enantioselectivities and yields to those obtained in other solvents.
