Advances in the mechanism of cleavage fracture of low alloy steel at low temperature. Part II: Fracture model
TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss the existing cleavage fracture model including the physical model and the statistical model, and discuss the mechanism of transition from a fibrous to a cleavage crack within the toughness transition temperature range.
Journal ArticleDOI
Single Transition Metal Atom-Doped Graphene Supported on a Nickel Substrate: Enhanced Oxygen Reduction Reactions Modulated by Electron Coupling
TL;DR: In this paper, a feasible strategy to modulate the binding strength of the oxygenated species on the graphitic nanosheet by introducing metal substrate gating was proposed, which showed remarkable enhancement of ORR performance with the confinement of the Ni(111) surface.
Journal ArticleDOI
Computational Design and Experimental Validation of the Optimal Bimetal-Doped SrCoO3-δ Perovskite as Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Cathode
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors found a balance between oxygen vacancy (VO) formation and its migration in designing SrCoO3-δ-based materials by using two activity descriptors, i.e., radius and electronegativity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prediction of pull-out force of multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) in sword-in-sheath mode
Go Yamamoto,Sen Liu,Ning Hu,Toshiyuki Hashida,Yaolu Liu,Cheng Yan,Yuan Li,Hao Cui,Huiming Ning,Liangke Wu +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the pullout force of some outer walls against other inner walls in multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) was systematically studied by molecular mechanics simulations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Advances in the mechanism of cleavage fracture of low alloy steel at low temperature. Part III: Local fracture stress σ
TL;DR: In this paper, local fracture stress values σ were measured accurately using 4PB, COD and Charpy V specimens, and the physical meaning of σ associated with the surface energy was discussed in detail.
