Diversity and community composition of ectomycorrhizal fungi in a dry deciduous dipterocarp forest in Thailand
Cherdchai Phosri,Sergei Põlme,Andy F. S. Taylor,Andy F. S. Taylor,Urmas Kõljalg,Nuttika Suwannasai,Leho Tedersoo +6 more
TL;DR: This study provides the first snapshot insight into the fungal community of dry dipterocarp forests, and it is necessary to broaden the spatial and temporal scales of sampling to improve the understanding of the below-ground relations of dry and humid tropical forests.
Journal ArticleDOI
Astraodoric Acids A–D: New Lanostane Triterpenes from Edible Mushroom Astraeus odoratus and Their Anti-Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Ra and Cytotoxic Activity
Kittibhorn Arpha,Cherdchai Phosri,Nuttika Suwannasai,Wiyada Mongkolthanaruk,Sirirath Sodngam +4 more
TL;DR: The results of this study show that A. odoratus could be a significant natural source for safer antitubercular and anticancer agents.
Journal ArticleDOI
The role of mycorrhizas in more sustainable oil palm cultivation
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors provide an insight into how AMF application might benefit oil palm cultivation through more sustainable management and the practical use of AMF for oil palm plantations, which is one option that can benefit both agronomic plant health and ecosystems.
Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular study of the genus Astraeus.
TL;DR: The marriage of observations on morphological features, including basidiospore ornamentation and molecular data demonstrated the presence of several Astraeus species, and shows that molecular data can be used in combination with traditional morphological characteristics to resolve taxonomic uncertainties in the genusAstraeus.
Journal Article
The genus Astraeus in Thailand
TL;DR: A new species of Astraeus, A. odoratus, is described from Thailand and differs from A. hygrometricus in its strong odour when fresh, smooth outer peridium and globose spores with, long, narrow, coalescent, less densely arranged spines.
