Journal ArticleDOI
Chiral sulfoxides as neutral coordinate-organocatalysts in asymmetric allylation of N-acylhydrazones using allyltrichlorosilanes.
TL;DR: Asymmetric crotylations using (Z)- and (E)-crotyltrichlorosilanes showed a high level of stereospecificity with high enantioselectivity, especially when optically active chiral sulfoxides were used.
Journal ArticleDOI
New Entries to Water‐Compatible Lewis Acids
Shu Kobayashi,Chikako Ogawa +1 more
TL;DR: The use of chiral basic ligands leading to new types of water-compatible chiral Lewis acids may enable a wide range of asymmetric catalysis in aqueous media.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Heterogeneous Silica‐Supported Scandium/Ionic Liquid Catalyst System for Organic Reactions in Water
Journal ArticleDOI
Stereospecific, Enantioselective Allylation of α‐Hydrazono Esters by Using Allyltrichlorosilanes with BINAP Dioxides as Neutral‐Coordinate Organocatalysts
Journal ArticleDOI
Lewis Acid Catalysis in Water with a Hydrophilic Substrate: Scandium‐Catalyzed Hydroxymethylation with Aqueous Formaldehyde in Water
TL;DR: A catalytic hydroxymethylation reaction with aqueous formaldehyde in which water is the sole solvent is described and it can be said that despite the good solubility of H CHO in water, the amount of HCHO in the hydrophobic environment increases in the presence of Sc(DS)3.
