Journal ArticleDOI

Air-stable cationic gold(I) catalyst featuring a Z-type ligand: promoting enyne cyclizations.

TL;DR: An enyne cyclization in the presence of either [Au→B](+) or[Au](+) showed that [Ae→B]-(+) promotes the reactivity, which enabled the effective construction of not only five- and six-membered rings, but also seven- Membered rings.
Journal ArticleDOI

[2+2+1] Cyclization of allenes

TL;DR: This review focuses on the origin and progress of the allenic [2+2+1] cyclocarbonylation, including the chirality transfer of theallene and its synthetic applications.
Journal ArticleDOI

Co2(CO)8-catalyzed intramolecular hetero-Pauson-Khand reaction of alkynecarbodiimide: synthesis of (+/-)-physostigmine.

TL;DR: This is the first reported Co(2)(CO)(8) successfully applied in the hetero-Pauson-Khand reaction, and the transformation of one of the pyrrolo[2,3-b]indol-2-one derivatives into the indole alkaloid, (+/-)-physostigmine, was completed in a highly stereoselective manner.
Journal ArticleDOI

Rh(I)-catalyzed intramolecular allenic Pauson-Khand reaction: construction of a bicyclo[5.3.0]dec-1,7-dien-9-one skeleton.

TL;DR: 1-Phenylsulfonylallenes possessing a hexynyl appendage in refluxing toluene in the presence of catalytic amount of rhodium(I) catalyst under a carbon monoxide atmosphere underwent regioselective formal [2 + 2 + 1]-cycloaddition to produce the corresponding bicyclo[5.3.0]dec-1,7-dien-9-one derivatives in acceptable yields.
