300 GHz Channel Measurement and Characterization in the Atrium of a Building

TL;DR: In this paper , a measurement campaign is conducted in the outdoor atrium of a building in 306-321 GHz band, and the channel characteristics, such as path loss, shadow fading, K-factor, etc., are calculated and analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI

N2-SAGE: Narrow-beam Near-field SAGE Algorithm for Channel Parameter Estimation in mmWave and THz Direction-scan Measurements

TL;DR: In this paper , a novel narrow-beam near-beam space-alternating generalized expectation-maximization (N 2 -SAGE) algorithm is proposed, which is derived by carefully considering the features of mmWave and THz direction-scan measurement campaigns, such as near-aligned propagation, narrow antenna beams as well as asynchronous measurements in different scanning directions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hybrid Spherical- and Planar-Wave Channel Modeling and Estimation for Terahertz Integrated UM-MIMO and IRS Systems

TL;DR: A hybrid spherical- and planar-wave channel model (HSPM) is developed for the cascaded channel of the integrated UM-MIMO system and a compressive sensing-based CE framework is developed, including a sparse channel representation method, a separate-side estimation (SSE) and a dictionary-shrinkage estimation (DSE) algorithms.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

End-to-end Modeling and Analysis for Terahertz Wireline Transmission System with Solid Polymer Fiber

TL;DR: In this paper, an end-to-end propagation of a terahertz (0.1-10 THz) wireline transmission system is modeled and characterized, by accounting for solid-core circular polymer fiber as the medium.

Hybrid Spherical- and Planar-Wave Channel Modeling and DCNN-powered Estimation for Terahertz Ultra-massive MIMO Systems.

TL;DR: In this article, a hybrid spherical- and planar-wave channel model (HSPM) is investigated and proved to be accurate and efficient by adopting PWM within subarray and SWM among subarray.
