TL;DR: A biomatrix was prepared from rice husk, a lignocellulosic waste from agro-industry, for the removal of several heavy metals as a function of pH and metal concentrations in single and mixed solutions, which indicated the presence of several functional groups for binding metal ions.

Nano-aluminum: transport through sand columns and environmental effects on plants and soil communities.
TL;DR: It appears that the presence of nano-aluminum particles did not have an adverse effect on the growth of California red kidney bean and rye grass plants in the concentration range tested, and soil respiration studies show that there are not statistical differences between the time and sizes of peaks in CO(2) production and the total mineralization of glucose.
