Journal ArticleDOI
Epstein-Barr virus lymphoproliferative disease after hematopoietic stem cell transplant.
TL;DR: Continuing improvements in risk stratification and treatment options are required to improve the morbidity and mortality caused by EBV-associated diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Needle core vs open biopsy for diagnosis of intermediate- and high-risk neuroblastoma in children
Saif F. Hassan,Shawn Mathur,Thomas J. Magliaro,Emily L. Larimer,Lauren B. Ferrell,Sanjeev A. Vasudevan,Danielle Patterson,Chrystal U. Louis,Heidi V. Russell,Jed G. Nuchtern,Eugene S. Kim +10 more
TL;DR: In children, needle core biopsy is comparable in efficacy with open biopsy in the diagnosis of intermediate- and high-risk neuroblastoma with significantly lower rates of major postoperative complications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Radiation therapy to the primary and postinduction chemotherapy MIBG-avid sites in high-risk neuroblastoma.
Ali Mazloom,Chrystal U. Louis,Jed G. Nuchtern,Eugene S. Kim,Heidi V. Russell,Wendy Allen-Rhoades,Robert A. Krance,Arnold dela Cruz Paulino +7 more
TL;DR: The number of MIBG-avid sites present after induction chemotherapy and surgery was predictive of progression-free and overall survival and RT to the primary site and postinduction MibG-positive metastatic sites was associated with 84% and 74% local control, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dual Inhibition of IGF-1R and ErbB3 Enhances the Activity of Gemcitabine and Nab-Paclitaxel in Preclinical Models of Pancreatic Cancer.
Adam Camblin,Emily Pace,Sharlene Adams,Michael D. Curley,Victoria Rimkunas,Lin Nie,Gege Tan,Troy Bloom,Sergio Iadevaia,Jason Baum,Charlene Minx,Akos Czibere,Chrystal U. Louis,Daryl C. TL;DR: Findings suggest a critical role for the HRG/ErbB3 axis and support the clinical exploration of dual IGF-1R/ErBB3 blocking in pancreatic cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thrombotic complications in childhood-onset idiopathic membranous nephropathy.
TL;DR: The need for appropriate evaluation of patients with membranous nephropathy who develop signs and symptoms suggestive of arterial or venous occlusion in order to avoid missing this potentially life-threatening medical complication is emphasized.
