Journal ArticleDOI

CD36 plays a critical role in proliferation, migration and tamoxifen-inhibited growth of ER-positive breast cancer cells.

TL;DR: A pro-tumorigenic role of CD36 is unveiled in breast cancer by enhancing proliferation/migration of breast cancer cells while attenuating tamoxifen-inhibited ER-positive cell growth.
Journal ArticleDOI

Formononetin attenuates atherosclerosis via regulating interaction between KLF4 and SRA in apoE-/- mice.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that formononetin can substantially attenuate the development of atherosclerosis via regulation of interplay between KLF4 and SRA, which suggests the formonetin might be a novel therapeutic approach for inhibition of Atherosclerosis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Activation of Adiponectin Receptor Regulates Proprotein Convertase Subtilisin/Kexin Type 9 Expression and Inhibits Lesions in ApoE-Deficient Mice.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that AdipoR activation by agonists regulated PCSK9 expression differently in wild-type and apoE−/− mice and inhibited atherosclerosis in apo E−/ − mice.
Journal ArticleDOI

Inhibition of Vascular Calcification.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that teniposide reduces vascular calcification by regulating p53-(miR-203-3p)-BMP2 signaling pathway, which contributes to the antiatherogenic properties of Topo II inhibitors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Formononetin ameliorates cholestasis by regulating hepatic SIRT1 and PPARα.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that formononetin improves hepatic/systemic bile acid metabolism and protects against ANIT-induced liver injury by upregulating expression of SIRT1 and activating PPARα, which is an important anti-cholestatic mechanism of formonetin.
