Validation of a two-dimensional pollutant dispersion model in an isolated street canyon

TL;DR: In this paper, a two-dimensional numerical model based on Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations coupled with a series of standard, Renormalization Group (RNG) and realizable k-e turbulence models was developed to simulate the fluid-flow development and pollutant dispersion within an isolated street canyon using the FLUENT code.
Journal ArticleDOI

Theoretical and experimental studies on air gap membrane distillation

TL;DR: In this paper, both theoretical and experimental investigations are carried out on AGMD of different aqueous solutions, namely, tap water, salted water, dyed solutions, acid solutions, and alkali solutions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Combustion, performance and emissions of a diesel engine with H2, CH4 and H2–CH4 addition

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the combustion and emission characteristics of a diesel engine with addition of hydrogen or methane for dual-fuel operation, and mixtures of hydrogen-methane for trifuel operation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Heat transfer characteristics of a slot jet impinging on a semi-circular convex surface

TL;DR: In this article, the surface heat transfer characteristics of a heated slot jet impinging on a semi-circular convex surface have been investigated by using the transient heating liquid crystal technique.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterisation of diesel exhaust particle number and size distributions using mini-dilution tunnel and ejector-diluter measurement techniques

TL;DR: In this paper, the characteristics of diesel exhaust particle number and size distributions were measured for different engine load conditions from 10% to 100% of full engine load at a maximum torque of constant speed.
