Journal ArticleDOI
Plasmid addiction systems: perspectives and applications in biotechnology.
TL;DR: A review of most known plasmid addiction systems and is focusing on biotechnical applications, finding that not every system has reached a full applicable state.
Journal ArticleDOI
Syndecan-1 (CD138) Modulates Triple-Negative Breast Cancer Stem Cell Properties via Regulation of LRP-6 and IL-6-Mediated STAT3 Signaling
Sherif Abdelaziz Ibrahim,Hebatallah Hassan,Laura Vilardo,Sampath Katakam Kumar,Archana Kumar,Reinhard Kelsch,Cornelia Schneider,Ludwig Kiesel,Hans Theodor Eich,Ileana Zucchi,Rolland Reinbold,Burkhard Greve,Martin Götte +12 more
TL;DR: As Syndecan-1 modulates the cancer stem cell phenotype via regulation of the Wnt and IL-6/STAT3 signaling pathways, it emerges as a promising novel target for therapeutic approaches.
Journal ArticleDOI
MicroRNA miR-145 inhibits proliferation, invasiveness, and stem cell phenotype of an in vitro endometriosis model by targeting multiple cytoskeletal elements and pluripotency factors.
Marlene Adammek,Marlene Adammek,Burkhard Greve,Nadja Kässens,Cornelia Schneider,Kathrin Brüggemann,Andreas N. Schüring,Anna Starzinski-Powitz,Ludwig Kiesel,Martin Götte +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the function of miR-145, known to be dysregulated in endometriosis, and identify its target genes in an in-vitro endometria model was studied.
Journal ArticleDOI
Targeting of syndecan-1 by micro-ribonucleic acid miR-10b modulates invasiveness of endometriotic cells via dysregulation of the proteolytic milieu and interleukin-6 secretion.
Cornelia Schneider,Nadja Kässens,Burkhard Greve,Hebatallah Hassan,Andreas N. Schüring,Anna Starzinski-Powitz,Ludwig Kiesel,Daniela G. Seidler,Martin Götte +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the function of Syndecan-1 and its potential regulator miR-10b in endometriosis was investigated by transiently transfecting with SDC1 small interfering RNA or miR10b precursors and investigated for changes in cell behavior and gene expression.
Journal ArticleDOI
[Peptic ulcer disease and H. pylori gastritis: key advances in clinical management].
TL;DR: H. pylori eradication shows a decreasing effectiveness due to increasing antibiotic resistance, especially against macrolides, and bismuth-containing quadruple therapy is widely recommended as the standard empiric first-line therapy.
