TL;DR: A Glauber-based analysis of the experimental cross sections for small-angle elastic p 6,8He scattering at 0.7 GeV has been performed in this paper, where the radii and radial shape of the 6He and 8He nuclei have been determined using phenomenological nuclear density distributions with two free parameters.

TL;DR: In this paper, absolute differential cross sections for elastic p 4 He, p 6 He and p 8 He small-angle scattering were measured in inverse kinematics with secondary 4,6,8 He-beams at an energy near 0.7

TL;DR: In this paper, the Beta-decay half-life of two nuclei close to the N = Z line, 70 Kr and 74 Rb, have been measured at the ISOLDE mass-separator facility at CERN.

TL;DR: In this article, a prototype for the electromagnetic calorimeter (ECAL) of the compact muon solenoid experiment (CMS) at the large hadron collider is described.
Abstract: Tests of a prototype for the electromagnetic calorimeter (ECAL) of the compact muon solenoid experiment (CMS) at the large hadron collider are described. The basic unit for the endcap ECAL in CMS is a “supercrystal” of 25 lead tungstate crystals. Results are presented from tests of the first full-sized supercrystal in electron beams and in a 3 T magnetic field. The supercrystal was exposed to electron beams with energies from 25 to 180 GeV. An energy resolution (σE/E) of (0.48±0.01)% was measured at 180 GeV.
