Thermoelectric properties of porous silicon

TL;DR: In this article, the thermoelectric properties of porous silicon, a nanostructured, yet single-crystalline form of silicon, were studied using electrochemical etching, liquid-phase doping, and high-temperature passivation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Temperature and structure size dependence of the thermal conductivity of porous silicon

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors performed thermal conductivity measurements in dependence of both temperature and average structure size to assess the potential of porous Si as thermoelectric material and found that the observed dependence on structure size and temperature can be explained in terms of a simple kinetic model based on the reduction of the effective phonon mean free path.
