Electrospinning of cellulose using ionic liquids: An overview on processing and applications

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present and discuss research efforts on electrospinning with cellulose as a feedstock polymer and ionic liquids as solvents, and discuss the applications sought include water and wastewater treatment, health care, and energy storage.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tape casting of preceramic polymers toward advanced ceramics: A review

TL;DR: In this paper, a review of tape casting-based preceramic polymers (PDCs) can be found, focusing on the efforts to produce PDCs using tape casting as a shaping technique.
Journal ArticleDOI

Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of reduction of thickness on microstructure and properties of porcelain stoneware tiles

TL;DR: In this article, the analysis of the microstructure and properties of porcelain stoneware related to the reduction of the tile thickness is presented, where tiles were manufactured from an industrial spray-dried powder batch, and pressed in lab-scale with varying thicknesses from 1.5 to 5.5mm.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measuring and Modeling the Plasticity of Clays

TL;DR: In this article, a mathematical model based on compression test to evaluate the plasticity of clays was developed, where three types of clay were studied with different levels of moisture and their indices of plasticity were also characterized by the Atterberg's and Pfefferkorn's methods.
