About Campylobacter spp.

TL;DR: Members of the Campylobacter genus are Gram-negative, microaerophilic, small bacilli with polar flagellation focusing on thermophilic species and/or those that colonize the intestinal tract of birds.
Journal ArticleDOI

Campylobacter jejuni strains isolated from chicken meat harbour several virulence factors and represent a potential risk to humans

TL;DR: The data indicate the potential role of these C. jejuni strains in the pathogenesis of human diseases, emphasising the need for vigilance and strict control during production to protect the health of the consumer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Intrinsic and Extrinsic Aspects on Campylobacter jejuni Biofilms.

TL;DR: This study shows that in chicken juice C. jejuni presents greater potential in producing mature biofilms, and the existence of tolerant strains indicates exposure to sublethal concentrations and development of adaptation mechanisms.
Journal ArticleDOI

RAPD and ISSR markers in the evaluation of genetic divergence among accessions of elephant grass.

TL;DR: These markers provided partially concordant groups, indicating that these techniques can provide consistent information and consequently could be used in studies of genetic diversity among accessions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evolution of Campylobacter jejuni of poultry origin in Brazil

TL;DR: The prevalence of C. jejuni was significantly reduced in 2015-2016 as well the number of antibiotic (and multidrug) resistant isolates, except for tetracycline, however, isolates from 2015 to 2016 showed higher prevalence of multiple virulence genes and genetic diversity profile compared to isolate from 2011 to 2012.
