Journal ArticleDOI
Active corrosion protection by a smart coating based on a MgAl-layered double hydroxide on a cerium-modified plasma electrolytic oxidation coating on Mg alloy AZ31
Gen Zhang,Liang Wu,Aitao Tang,Yanlong Ma,Guang-Ling Song,Dajiang Zheng,Bin Jiang,Andrej Atrens,Fusheng Pan +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a composite coating was produced via plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) with Ce salt sealing, on which layered double hydroxides (LDHs) were deposited via a hydrothermal treatment, and then modified by phytic acid (PA) via an ion exchange reaction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhanced Corrosion Resistance of Superhydrophobic Layered Double Hydroxide Films with Long-Term Stability on Al Substrate.
TL;DR: It was found that the superhydrophobic surface was chemically stable toward acid, alkali, and heating, and it also exhibited high ultraviolet (UV) radiation resistance, indicating superior ability of adapting to outdoor environment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Review of the atmospheric corrosion of magnesium alloys
Hongguang Liu,Fuyong Cao,Guang-Ling Song,Guang-Ling Song,Dajiang Zheng,Zhiming Shi,Mathew S. Dargusch,Andrej Atrens +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the traditional gravimetric method can evaluate effectively the corrosion behavior of Mg alloys, and it is shown that the corrosion rate increases with relative humidity (RH) and concentrations of aggressive species such as chloride ions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multifunctional inhibition based on layered double hydroxides to comprehensively control corrosion of carbon steel in concrete
Yanhui Cao,Shi-Gang Dong,Dajiang Zheng,Jingjing Wang,Xiao-Juan Zhang,Rong-Gui Du,Guang-Ling Song,Changjian Lin +7 more
Journal ArticleDOI
A state-of-the-art review on passivation and biofouling of Ti and its alloys in marine environments
Shaokun Yan,Guang-Ling Song,Guang-Ling Song,Zhengxian Li,Haonan Wang,Dajiang Zheng,Fuyong Cao,Miroslava Horynova,Matthew S. Dargusch,Lian Zhou +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors comprehensively review the passivating and biofouling behavior, as well as their mechanisms, for typical Ti alloys in various marine environments, and aim to help extend applications of Ti-alloys in extremely harsh marine conditions.
