Impacts of Gum Arabic and Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) with Salicylic Acid on Peach Fruit (Prunus persica) Shelf Life
Mohamed Taher,A.A. Lo’ay,Mostafa Gouda,Safaa A. Limam,Mohamed F. M. Abdelkader,Samah O. Osman,Mohammad Fikry,Esmat F. Ali,S. Y. Mohamed,Hoda A. Khalil,Diaa O. El-Ansary,Sherif Fathy El-Gioushy,H.S. Ghazzawy,Aly Mohamed Ibrahim,M. F. Maklad,Mohamed A. Abdein,Dalia M. Hikal +16 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the salicylic acid (SA) was used as an edible coating to extend the shelf-life of peaches, and a reduction in browning symptoms in fruits was observed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhance Fruit Ripening Uniformity and Accelerate the Rutab Stage by Using ATP in 'Zaghloul' Dates during the Shelf Life.
A. A. Lo’ay,Rania E. El-Gammal,Haifa Abdulaziz S. Alhaithloul,Suliman Mohammed Alghanem,Mohammad Fikry,Mohamed A. Abdein,Dalia M. Hikal +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of ATP-treated dates on the Rutab stage of the Zagloul date during shelf-life was investigated, and the results indicated that the dose of ATP (1.5 mM) is a new potential tool that pushes the fruits to regular ripening after harvest, thus reducing the losses in the fruits during the production process.
