Journal ArticleDOI
Gut Akkermansia muciniphila ameliorates metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease by regulating the metabolism of L-aspartate via gut-liver axis.
Yong Rao,Zhi-qi Kuang,Chan Li,Shi-Yao Guo,Yao-Hao Xu,Dan-Dan Zhao,Yu-Tao Hu,Bing-Bing Song,Zhi Jiang,Zhen-Huang Ge,Xi-Yuan Liu,Cheng-Dao Li,Shuo-Bin Chen,Ji-Ming Ye,Zhi-Shu Huang,Yongjun Lu +15 more
TL;DR: Akkermansia muciniphila has been increasingly recognized for its therapeutic potential in treating metabolic disorders, including obesity, diabetes, and metabolicdysfunction-association as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Glutathione improves testicular spermatogenesis through inhibiting oxidative stress, mitochondrial damage, and apoptosis induced by copper deposition in mice with Wilson disease.
Kuiyu Chen,Limin Wu,Qianzhuo Liu,Fang Tan,Luyao Wang,Dan-Dan Zhao,Xinru Fang,Xiang Liu,Jiabo Liu,Hui Han +9 more
TL;DR: In this article , the effect and mechanism of glutathione on testicular spermatogenesis was observed in male organisms with Wilson disease (WD), and the results showed that after copper chelation by penicillamine, the structure of the testicular seminiferous tubules and the number of spermatozoa in the epididymal lumen were significantly improved.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ampelopsis grossedentata improves type 2 diabetes mellitus through modulating the gut microbiota and bile acid metabolism
Yu-Li Hu,Mei Li,Lei Ding,Chuan Peng,You Wu,Wei Li,Dan-Dan Zhao,Lingling Qin,Xiangyu Guo,Lili Wu,Tong Liu +10 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated the effect of total flavonoids extracted from Ampelopsis grossedentata (AGT) and the underlying mechanisms using 16S rDNA sequencing and metabolomics.
