Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison of multiple DNA dyes for real-time PCR: effects of dye concentration and sequence composition on DNA amplification and melting temperature
TL;DR: Two intercalating dyes SYTO-13 andSYTO-82 do not inhibit PCR, show no preferential binding to GC rich sequences and do not influence melting temperature, Tm, even at high concentrations, which will simplify the development of multiplex assays and increase the sensitivity of real-time PCR.
Journal ArticleDOI
2019 Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19): Paving the Road for Rapid Detection and Point-of-Care Diagnostics.
TL;DR: A point-of-care device for the rapid detection of the 2019 novel Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) is crucial and urgently needed, as well as factors for the preparedness and response to the outbreak of the COVID-19.
Journal ArticleDOI
Molecularly imprinted polymers for sample preparation and biosensing in food analysis: Progress and perspectives
Jon Ashley,Mohammad-Ali Shahbazi,Krishna Kant,Vinayaka Aaydha Chidambara,Anders Wolff,Dang Duong Bang,Yi Sun +6 more
TL;DR: The current state-of-the-art of MIP synthesis and applications in the context of food analysis is discussed, the imprinting methods which are applicable for imprinting food templates are highlighted, the recent progress in using MIPs for preparing and analysing food samples are summarized, and the current limitations in the commercialisation are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Flies and Campylobacter infection of broiler flocks.
Birthe Hald,Henrik Skovgård,Dang Duong Bang,Karl Pedersen,Jens Dybdahl,Jørgen Jespersen,Morgens Madsen +6 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that flies may be an important source of Campylobacter infection of broiler flocks in summer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Simulation and experimental validation of a SU-8 based PCR thermocycler chip with integrated heaters and temperature sensor
Jamil El-Ali,Ivan R. Perch-Nielsen,Claus Riber Poulsen,Dang Duong Bang,Pieter Telleman,Anders Wolff +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, a SU-8-based polymerase chain reaction (PCR) chip with integrated platinum thin film heaters and temperature sensor is presented, which is capable of fast thermal cycling.
