Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison between invasive blood pressure and a non-invasive blood pressure monitor in anesthetized sheep.
TL;DR: None of the measurements met the criteria for good agreement between invasive and non-invasive readings established by the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation, but systolic blood pressure readings obtained at the left thoracic limb site and mean blood pressure at the right pelvic limb site met the bias and LOA criteria.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transversus abdominis plane block in ponies: a preliminary anatomical study.
TL;DR: Nerves T16-L2 had over 75% success rate in staining, suggesting that this technique would block transmission from T16 to L2, assuming that staining indicates potential nerve block.
Journal ArticleDOI
Owner evaluation of quality of life and mobility in osteoarthritic cats treated with amantadine or placebo.
Hilary Shipley,Kristi Flynn,Laura Tucker,Laura Tucker,Erin Wendt-Hornickle,Caroline Floreoto Baldo,Daniel Almeida,Sandra Allweiler,Sandra Allweiler,Alonso G. P. Guedes +9 more
TL;DR: Amantadine significantly decreased activity, but improved owner-identified impaired mobility and owner-perceived quality of life in cats with osteoarthritis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pharmacokinetics and clinical effects of xylazine and dexmedetomidine in horses recovering from isoflurane anesthesia
Alonso G. P. Guedes,Heather K Knych,Laura Tucker,Daniel Almeida,Caroline Floreoto Baldo,Erin Wendt-Hornickle,Sandra Allweiler +6 more
TL;DR: When used for postanesthetic sedation following isoflurane anesthesia in healthy horses, dexmedetomidine displays faster plasma kinetics but is not associated with faster recoveries compared to xylazine.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transpulmonary Stent Implantation for Dysplastic Pulmonary Valve Stenosis with a Single Left Coronary Ostium and Anomalous Prepulmonary Right Coronary Artery in an English Bulldog.
TL;DR: Graphical abstracts as mentioned in this paper are used in this paper. But they do not specify the authorship of the abstracts, only the authors themselves, and their authorship is unknown.
