Journal ArticleDOI
SARS-CoV-2 vaccination in rituximab-treated patients: B cells promote humoral immune responses in the presence of T-cell-mediated immunity.
Daniel Mrak,Selma Tobudic,Maximilian Koblischke,Marianne Graninger,Helga Radner,Daniela Sieghart,Philipp Hofer,Thomas Perkmann,Helmuth Haslacher,Renate Thalhammer,Stefan Winkler,Stephan Blüml,Karin Stiasny,Judith H. Aberle,Josef S Smolen,Leonhard X. Heinz,Daniel Aletaha,Michael Bonelli +17 more
TL;DR: In this article, SARS-CoV-2-specific T-cell responses were quantified by IFNγ enzyme-linked immunosorbent spot assays using the Elecsys Anti-SARS CoV2 S immunoassay against the receptor-binding domain (RBD) of the spike protein and neutralisation tests.
Journal ArticleDOI
Side-by-Side Comparison of Three Fully Automated SARS-CoV-2 Antibody Assays with a Focus on Specificity.
Thomas Perkmann,Nicole Perkmann-Nagele,Marie-Kathrin Breyer,Robab Breyer-Kohansal,Otto C. Burghuber,Sylvia Hartl,Daniel Aletaha,Daniela Sieghart,Peter Quehenberger,Rodrig Marculescu,Patrick Mucher,Robert Strassl,Oswald Wagner,Christoph J. Binder,Helmuth Haslacher +14 more
TL;DR: Differences in specificities for the anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibody assays by Abbott, Roche, and DiaSorin that have a significant impact on the positive predictive values of these tests are found.
Journal ArticleDOI
Determination of Autoantibody Isotypes Increases the Sensitivity of Serodiagnostics in Rheumatoid Arthritis
Daniela Sieghart,Alexander Platzer,Paul Studenic,Farideh Alasti,Maresa Grundhuber,S Swiniarski,Thomas Horn,Helmuth Haslacher,Stephan Blüml,Josef S Smolen,Günter Steiner +10 more
TL;DR: Among antibody positive individuals, RA patients were found having significantly more antibodies (≥3) than disease controls which generally showed one or two antibody species, allowing to better distinguish between RA and other rheumatic disorders, also in patients not showing antibodies in current routine diagnostics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hydrogen sulphide decreases IL-1β-induced activation of fibroblast-like synoviocytes from patients with osteoarthritis.
Daniela Sieghart,Melissa Liszt,Axel Wanivenhaus,Hans Bröll,Hans P. Kiener,Burkhard Klösch,Günter Steiner +6 more
TL;DR: Data suggest that H2S partially antagonizes IL‐1β stimulation via selective manipulation of the MAPkinase and the PI3K/Akt pathways which may encourage development of novel drugs for treatment of OA.
