Journal ArticleDOI

A Potential Role of Interleukin 10 in COVID-19 Pathogenesis.

TL;DR: Several lines of clinical evidence suggest that dramatic early pro-inflammatory IL-10 elevation might play a pathological role in COVID-19 severity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preventing Mortality in COVID-19 Patients: Which Cytokine to Target in a Raging Storm?

TL;DR: It is suggested that the immunopathological pathway leading to COVID-19 mortality can be divided into three stages with distinct clinical features that can be used to guide therapeutic strategies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antibody response and therapy in COVID-19 patients: what can be learned for vaccine development?

TL;DR: In this article, the authors summarize the recent progress and discuss the implications of these findings in vaccine development, including characterization of the clinical features of antibody responses in different populations infected by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), treatment of COVID-19 patients with convalescent plasma and intravenous immunoglobin products, isolation and characterization of a large panel of monoclonal neutralizing antibodies and early clinical testing.
Journal ArticleDOI

The order and logic of CD4 versus CD8 lineage choice and differentiation in mouse thymus.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used single cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) to classify mouse thymocyte selection intermediates by coreceptor gene expression, and showed that selection intermediateates discriminate MHC class prior to the loss of coreceptor expression and suggest a model where signal strength informs the timing of corecept gene activity and ultimately CD4/CD8 lineage choice.
Journal ArticleDOI

Clinically approved combination immunotherapy: Current status, limitations, and future perspective

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors provide a perspective analysis of the limitations for combination immunotherapies and potential approaches to overcome the limitations and utilization of predictive biomarkers is urgently needed to guide the entire treatment process.
