Journal ArticleDOI

An improved method to determine the absolute abundance of glycerol dibiphytanyl glycerol tetraether lipids

TL;DR: In this paper, the use of a newly synthesized C46 GDGT as an internal standard was used to measure absolute GDGT abundances more accurately, and the accuracy in the determination of GDGT concentration improved significantly when using the internal standard (5% standard deviation) compared to that obtained with the monthly external standard curve (43% standard deviations).
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and grafting of thioctic acid-PEG-folate conjugates onto Au nanoparticles for selective targeting of folate receptor-positive tumor cells.

TL;DR: The creation of Au nanoparticles that are soluble in aqueous solution over a broad range of pH and ionic strength values and that are capable of selective uptake by folate receptor positive (FR+) cancer cells are reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Stimuli-responsive liposomes for drug delivery.

TL;DR: This review focuses on the literature appearing between November 2008-February 2016 that reports new developments in stimuli-sensitive liposomal drug delivery strategies using pH change, enzyme transformation, redox reactions, and photochemical mechanisms of activation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cytosolic drug delivery using pH- and light-sensitive liposomes.

TL;DR: This review focuses on literature appearing between January 1995-December 1997 that report antibody and receptor-mediated targeting approaches for improving drug localization and acid, enzymatic, thermal or photochemical triggering processes that destabilize membranes and improve drug bioavailability via cytoplasmic delivery of liposomal contents.
