Journal ArticleDOI

Test-retest variability and correlations between tests of texture processing, motion processing, visual acuity, and contrast sensitivity.

TL;DR: Test-retest variability for the tests of motion and texture processing were at least as low as for established clinical tests of high and low contrast acuity and contrast sensitivity, and these new tests offer a reliable means of obtaining clinical information.
Journal ArticleDOI

Magnetic and electrical brain responses to chromatic contrast in human

TL;DR: The results of comparing magnetic and electrical responses to the onset and offset of contrast can be understood in terms of the considerable intersubject variability in the relation between neuroanatomy and cortical function that has been demonstrated by other techniques.
Journal ArticleDOI

The component of gaze selection/control in the development of visual acuity in children.

TL;DR: It is concluded that abnormal lateral interactions were not the explanation for the immaturity of Snellen acuity in 10 eyes, and it is suggested that an important factor in the low acuities of these 10 eyes is delayed development of the selection and/or control of gaze direction.
Journal ArticleDOI

An audio-visual convergence area in the human brain

TL;DR: By recording the magnetic field of the human brain while simultaneously presenting light to the eye and sound to the ear, this work has identified a brain region where auditory and visual signals converge.
